Banco de la Nación: how to access a mortgage loan?

The Banco de la Nación provides for public sector workers and retirees – who receive a salary or pension and have a savings account at the bank – rates from 5.99% to 7.25% for any type of mortgage loan, both for the purchase of finished assets, future assets, home improvement, home expansion and/or renovation, and mortgage debt transfer.

This is done to contribute to the economic recovery and close the housing gap. In this line, credits of over S/200 million are expected to be granted in this segment this year.

It should be noted that these mortgage loans can be granted individually or jointly, and it is not necessary for the spouse to be a public worker.

What are the requirements to access a prequalification?

If you are interested in applying for a loan, these are the conditions you must meet:

• Be a designated civil servant, with a permanent contract or a pensioner with a savings account in NL for the deposit of his income.

• Be between the ages of 18 and 74 years and 6 months old.

• Have at least one year of seniority.

• Receive a monthly income exceeding S/800.

• Have a “normal” credit rating in the financial system for both the borrower and the spouse.
