International record book InterRecord has officially recorded Match TV commentator Timur Zhuravel’s challenge to watch all matches of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Zhuravel watched all 64 matches of the tournament as part of the “Timur Was Here” challenge, which no other person in history has been able to do before.

Zhuravel could even get into the Guinness Book of Records, but members of the research team refused to register the result. The refusal on the official letterhead came when Zhuravel had to attend two semi-finals, the match for bronze and the final of the tournament.

– The Guinness Book of Records has indefinitely halted all business with Russia and Belarus. Therefore, we cannot accept this record,” reads the message in response to Match TV’s record registration request.

The world championship ended on December 18th. Argentina won the championship after beating France on penalties in the final. Bronze medal for Croatia.
