On the night of Saturday, December 17, 2022, a 51-year-old man died on his way home between Schopfheim and Hasel. According to the current state of the investigation, the man first attended a company Christmas party on Friday evening and then a location in Schopfheim-Gündenhausen. Around 1:20 he was supposed to walk home. On Saturday morning he was found dead on the cycle path parallel to the B 518 near Hasel. There are currently no indications of third party negligence, rather a tragic accident can be assumed. The Lörrach criminal police are looking for witnesses to understand the circumstances of the return home! Anyone who notices a pedestrian between the Gündenhausen industrial estate and Hasel after 1.20am is asked to call 07621 176-0.
