Specifically, all collection centers will be open on Thursday 22/12, 29/12 and 05/01 until at least 19.00, some until 19.30 or 20.00. It’s “a chance to come and donate in a little bit of a different atmosphere and every donor will be offered a mocktail” that day, said Blood Service communications manager Thomas Paulus.
“The purpose of this action is to underline the importance of blood donation in this traditionally very difficult period. In fact, the next six weeks promise to be particularly tense and during which we will need everyone’s support”, concluded the Red Cross .
