New York is the most populous city in the United States and one of the most populated in the world, located in the state of the same name on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the northeastern United States.
In New York City, the climate is predominantly humid continentalwith freezing winters, very hot summers, and moderate rainfall throughout the year, turning into thunderstorms in the summer and snowfall in the winter.
However, New York’s proximity to the Atlantic coast means that the winters aren’t that cold, nor the summers that hot.
The cold and constant rains bring about the fall of nine o’clock in winter.
The coldest months are between December and March, while the warmest are between July and August.

In the southwestern United States is where it is present arid climate, both in its cold and hot subtypes. In cold, arid areas, winters are freezing and summers mild, while in hot, arid areas, summers experience extremely high temperatures and winters are mild. In both cases, rainfall is scarce.
The Mediterranean climate registers in the most coastal area of the American West, from north to south and is characterized by its mild and rainy winters, plus its dry and hot summers.
