Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists have released on social media a video excerpt and images of the performance of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, and among the personalities who participated in the performance of “Al-Ardah” with the sword, Saturday, on the eve of the celebration of Qatar’s national day, which falls on December 18.

The Emiri Diwan of Qatar said in a statement that the “Is Qatar” show was held in the Lusail Palace outdoor arena on Tuesday afternoon, and “His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of the Emir, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, and a number of Their Excellencies the Sheikhs.

And the Amiri Diwan continued: “His Excellency Sayyid Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Chairman of the Shura Council, Their Excellencies, ministers, dignitaries and a group of citizens also attended the parade. The parade was attended by a number of Their Majesties, Excellencies, Highnesses and Excellencies, heads of state and government, and senior officials in fraternal and friendly countries.”

Qatar’s Amiri Diwan had announced that Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad had issued a pardon order for a number of prisoners on the country’s national holiday.

And the Saudi Sports Ministry posted a tweet with images of Prince Abdulaziz Al-Faisal’s participation in the parade, saying in a comment: “In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, His Your Highness the Minister of Sport (Abdulaziz Al-Faisal) participates in the celebrations of the National Day of Qatar, together with Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Presidents of the International Federations and the Olympic Committees.
