Al Markaziya – The “Lebanese Forces” center in the Saffariyya region – Jezzine organized a Christmas recital in the country’s St. George’s church in the presence of deputies: Ghada Ayoub, Saeed Al-Asmar and Charbel Massad, head of the Catholic Center for Media , Father Dr. Abdo Abu Kasem, Mayor Habib Daher and Mukhtar Farhat Melhem, the coordinator of forces in the Jezzine region, George Eid, and a number of city officials and residents.
The Gregorian recital was covered by Maroun Abdo Ghastine, Genevieve Ghastine and Perla Melhem.
After the recital, Representative Ayoub gave a speech in which she said, “On this eve, Safarya returns to radiate hope and gives us hope that Christmas will come and love will grow with it and hope will return to our hearts, so we will be a hand working together for the interest of the country and the interest of the Jezzine region.”
On behalf of the representative, Al-Asmar, and on his behalf, I thanked and congratulated Genevieve, Maroun and Birla, who resumed the recital. For them, I say, you are our hope and our pride, and you are the title of sacrifice in every sense of the word, because when we serve our Church, we thus light a candle in these dark days and in this difficult circumstance that Lebanon is going through, the worst phase of its history from a political, economic and financial point of view.
He added: “We all hope that all the deputies, like us, respect their role and duties of electing a president for the republic, so they don’t allow Lebanon to remain without a head, because the president of the republic is the head of this state, and he is the symbol and he is the judge. From here, from Saffariya, we repeat our refusal to let our state remain without a president, so things will continue”. As it stands, as if it were a matter of course, so we are not going to give up and submit to the fait accompli, we are doing our part and going to the House of Representatives to attend every session because we want a president for the republic, what if the status quo continues, we are heading towards a harder and worse crisis”.
He continued: “We in the south always feel the danger before others in other regions, but we all hope to meet a new president of the republic at the beginning of the new year, because without a president and without a new government, there is no salvation for Lebanon”.
He concluded by thanking “all those who contributed to the organization and success of the meeting, in particular the Saffariyya Lebanese Forces Center”. all Lebanese, wishing them “a merry Christmas and a new year full of stability, prosperity and security for Lebanon and its people”.
