“Today (Sunday, note ed.) this morning our dear dad, actor Ladislav Trojan passed away. He died in his sleep, in peace and quiet. He had a smile on his lips until the last moment. Ondřej and Ivan,” wrote the children on the social network.
Ladislav Trojan was born in Prague, already in his childhood he played in amateur theater, he also studied ballet. After graduating from DAMU, he got a job at Zdenek Nejedlý’s Realistic Theater, where he started with the roles of lovers, but soon established himself as a representative of comedic roles.
After seven years he moved to the Municipal Theaters in Prague, where he remained until his retirement. After leaving the permanent engagement, he guest starred in several scenes. He also performed in touring shows, for example with Květa Fialová and Petr Nárožný in the comedy Three on a Bench.
Ladislav Trojan’s filmography includes more than a hundred items, he shot for television more often than in films, but the main roles escaped him. He came to public attention in Jaroslav Dietl and Jiří Hubač’s popular 1960s series, Three Guys in a Cottage, in which, together with Lubomír Lipský and Jan Skopeček, they embodied the peculiar Potůčk family, who farmed without women.
Young children know Ladislav Trojan from Kouzelná školky, who hosted as Grandfather Láď from 2011 to 2018.
