History of technical railway accidents on the KCJB line resulting in fatalities

Technical train on the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed ​​Railway (KCJB extension) reported precipitate off-piste Sunday (18/12). Police said there were killed and injured in the crash.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia China (KCIC) estimates the incident occurred around 4pm WIB. KCIC said the crash site was in Cipada area, Cikalongwetan, West Bandung.

West Java Polda Direskrimum Kombes Yani Sudarto said there were no casualties as a result of the incident. However, he did not further explain the number of people killed and injured in the crash.

“There are (dead) victims, but the exact number is still being identified. There are also injured victims. They have currently been taken to Santosa hospital,” he said.

Yani said the joint team of West Java Regional Police and National Police Laboratory immediately conducted a Crime Scene Investigation (TKP) to investigate the cause of the accident.
