“We won’t waste any time,” explained Rumen Radev

The president will hand over the second term after the new year. Rumen Radev announced this to reporters.

“I will hand over the second mandate soon, we won’t waste time, but not before the new year,” said the head of state after taking part in the traditional ritual of lighting candles for the Festival of Lights – Hanukkah, which took place in central synagogue of Sofia.

The head of state lit the first candle of the ritual candlestick together with Ava, the second grader. Among those in charge of the event also the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova, representatives of the people, the current Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov, representatives of religious communities in Bulgaria and the diplomatic corps.
