WhatsApp users will soon be able to access the new features made available by the application. Each of them has been designed to provide a more interesting user experience by targeting the needs and interaction of contacts with each other.

WhatsApp secret mode
Basically, secret mode is a way that Meta has come up with to provide users with a way to log into two accounts simultaneously in the messenger. In short, create a “copy” of the app on your smartphone so that you can create two different accounts. For that, you need two SIM cards and an Android device. Watch step by step:
- First, open the app and go to the “Apps” or “Advanced Features” tab;
- Then click on the “Dual messenger” or “Dual apps” option;
- Then select the “WhatsApp” option;
- At that moment, a message will appear on the screen asking if you want to create a copy of the app. Click “Install”;
- Go to your apps and tap the WhatsApp app with an orange icon;
- Then, open the app and create a new messenger account;
- Ready! From there, you will be able to access two different accounts within the same mobile phone.

in-app avatars
In addition to the secret mode option, the messenger has recently launched a feature that allows the use of avatars as a profile picture. Apart from this feature, the app also allows users to send stickers with their avatar’s face when chatting with contacts.
WhatsApp releases different options for different combinations so that the user can customize their avatar the way they want, such as hair, facial features, clothes and even accessories. Namely, these models are similar to those of Facebook and Instagram, but Meta has not yet reported whether there will be some sort of integration between all applications.
According to the app’s information, several changes are still expected to occur over time to improve the characters’ style, such as adding lighting, hair textures, and shading. That’s because this feature is still being tested, as is creating avatar face stickers. Here’s how to create your own:
- Login to your application;
- Already on the home screen, tap the More options icon (?) or “Settings”, in the case of iPhone users;
- After that, click on “Avatar”;
- After that, click on the “Create avatar” option;
- Then, select the options available to create your own avatar and start using it in the messenger.
This feature was created to help users communicate better within the app, as they can be used within conversations and as a profile picture. If the user wants to delete their avatar, just open the screen again and click on the “Delete Avatar” option.
