Pope: The war in Ukraine will not end soon

“It seems to me that war begins when the empire begins to weaken. And when there are weapons that need to be used, tested and sold. The stakes are high”, explained the Pope.

According to Francis, the Vatican is doing everything possible, but “they are not listening”.

“What is happening in Ukraine is terrifying. There is so much cruelty out there. This is very serious indeed. This is what I continue to condemn,” he added.
