The action was a form of protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has entered its 10th month. Eggs are given to villagers and passers-by which can be thrown at the statue of the Russian president.

Protest coordinators said they planned to make and sell the miniature statue to raise money for a charity supporting Ukrainian refugees.
“I have seen the devastation that happened in Ukraine over the years and the many lives lost because of the war,” they said.
“So I thought, ‘I really want to help and I want to do my part and I want to try and raise some money to help those people,'” she added.
