Jakarta –
PKB respond to the claims Anies Baswedan on the government that often turns off criticism. DPP PKB youth spokeswoman Dira Martamin said Anies suffered from “Thanos syndrome”.
“Anies’ statement shows that he is infected with Thanos syndrome. He believes what he has done is the greatest and the most correct. So he accuses the government of being anti-critical,” Dira said in his statement on Sunday (12/18 /2022).
According to Dira, the government under Jokowi’s command is very open to criticism. He brought up Jokowi asking the public to actively criticize the government, specifically in a February 2021 statement.
“The government is very open to criticism. In fact, Anies’ statement that he often receives criticism, which ultimately has to be answered one by one while serving as governor of DKI Jakarta, shows that he feels he is the best. Indeed “What Anies did has already been done by the government. Anies is a lot of pretensions,” he said.
Then Dira hinted at the statement by former DPR Deputy Chairman Fahri Hamzah, who revealed that President Jokowi once asked why the current opposition was weak. Dira said the current government really wants a balanced opponent.
“This shows that the government wants to be criticized. The government wants to have a balanced opponent. It wants a strong opposition, it wants to get input from the opposition,” he said.
According to Dira, the government understands that criticism is nothing more than a form of public education. “The proof is that the public can still openly criticize, and Pak Jokowi himself is open to it. In general, the government still gives ample room for criticism,” said Dira.
NasDem response
NasDem responding to other pro-Jokowi political parties who rejected the statement the NasDem presidential candidate allegedly made Anies Baswedan, on the government that often turns off criticism. NasDem stressed that Anies’ statement was not directed at the Jokowi government.
“We shouldn’t respond a priori to Anies’ statement, because what is meant by criticism of Anies is not specific to the central government,” Vice-President General (Waketum) NasDem Ahmad Ali said when contacted on Sunday (12/18). .
According to Ali, Jokowi’s government is not anti-critical. Ali assessed that it was the political parties (political parties) in the governing coalition that were anti-critical, as was the response given to Anies’ statement.
“So the question is, is Jokowi an anti-critic? No. The anti-critic is a political party, today when people talk, they make a lot of noise. Yeah, right,” he said.
Ali explained that Anies’ statement reflected his experience leading the provincial administration of DKI Jakarta (pemprov). Therefore, Ali requested that the various parties not always rely on the assumption that Anies’ statements were directed at the Jokowi government.
“Because Anies’ statement never mentioned that the Jokowi government was an anti-critic. No. He said the government should open room for criticism. So what the government meant included the provincial government, including Anies. Anies experienced these practices when he was governor,” he said.
“So let’s see Anies statement in full context. So don’t let our reasoning get fed up with conspiracies all the time. Now, Anies statement is always retracted, saying it was a statement to attack Pak Jokowi. it was,” he continued.
