Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev defeated world first racket Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals of the exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.
The match ended with a score of 6:2, 6:1 in favor of the 25-year-old Russian.
In Sunday’s final Rublev will face the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, fourth in the world rankings.
25-year-old Rublev is in eighth place in the world rankings. The Russian has 12 ATP titles. At the Tokyo Olympics he became the Olympic champion in mixed doubles.
The winner of the Abu Dhabi tournament will receive $250,000.
