The government and opposition parties continued their discussions on next year’s budget management this morning, but could not reduce their differences on the main issues contained in the mediation plan of the president of the National Assembly.

Democratic Party leader Park Hong-geun told reporters, “The government and the ruling party have not yet officially announced that they will not accept the president’s arbitration proposal, so we are in the process of persuading them.”
