Oppo presented a new folding called Find N2 with the same format as the Galaxy Fold. The manufacturer managed to reduce the weight to 233 grams, which makes the structure lighter than both the iPhone 14 Max (240 g) and the Galaxy Fold 4 (263 g).
The weight specifically refers to the black model with eco-leather caseback, while the white and green models with glass caseback weigh 237 grams. As usual with foldaways, the zipper has gotten better between the generations.
The zipper now has 100 different parts instead of 138, while becoming lighter and stronger. According to Oppo, the new hinge design has reduced the crease in the center of the screen by 67 percent, making it less visible. The hinge can hold the screen at angles between 45 and 125 degrees.
The internal foldable panel is 7.1″ with HDR10+, LTPO (1-120Hz), 480Hz sampling rate, 1550 nits and a nearly square aspect ratio of 9.6:9. The panel is covered with a special layer that reduces reflections to improve readability. When the case is folded, it offers a 5.54-inch OLED with 120Hz, HDR10+, 1350 nits, Gorilla Glass Victus and an aspect ratio of 17.7:9.
The Find N2 is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (not the latest Gen 2), plus up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 13 and ColorOS 13 out of the box. The battery has 4520mAh and can be fast charged over 67W.
For photography and video recording, a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.56″ sensor, f1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization is offered. The rear also houses a 48MP super wide-angle camera and a 32MP telephoto camera. The phone also has dual 32MP front facing cameras (one outside and one inside). The camera system is assisted by Oppo’s MariSilicon X circuit and was developed in collaboration with Hasselblad.
The Oppo Find N2 entry-level model with 12 GB/256 GB costs the equivalent of SEK 11,800. At the time of writing, there is no information on a possible global launch.
