Concert from American Jc Smith in Vigo

For the first time, the great blues guitarist and singer JC Smith lands in Galicia, to carry out the tour exclusively in Galician lands, from November 24th to 27th, touring together the cities of Vigo, Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Ferrol and Goián at Viguès group The Red Duck Blues.

JC Smith brings an electrifying and charismatic musical experience, with music that travels from Jumpin’ Blues to Old School Soul, to make the most conservative crowd dance, as he demonstrates in every concert of his tours.

Born in San Francisco (USA), and after 20 years continuously touring the United States, Mexico, South America and Russia, it will be his first time in the Iberian Peninsula, but he will only tour Galicia.

Originally from San Francisco, he is considered in his land an interpreter who stands out for his energy and charisma, playing the blues as if he were guided by masters such as T-Bone Walker, Albert King or Johnnie Guitar Watson.

2001 marked the release of Smith’s first work, ‘Midnight Creeper’ which attracted international attention. In 2004 she released “That’s What I’m Talk’n’Bout”, co-produced by Grammy nominee Joanna Connor. In 2006, JC Smith received the Blues Society’s West Coast Blues Band of the Year award.

But it was the release of “Defining Cool” (2009), considered his best album to date, that solidified his career, which earned him a Grammy Award nomination in the Best Contemporary Blues Album category.

JC Smith has worked and collaborated with eminent blues artists such as BB King, Hubert Sumlin, Buddy Guy, Buddy Miles… as well as being respected and expressly admired by Mick Jagger, who regularly hires him to play at his parties.
