Many people are in hospital after buying spinach from supermarkets in Australia. He was hospitalized after feeling ill after eating spinach. Eight people fell ill in Victoria and 47 in New South Wales.
Those who ate spinach bought from a Cost Co supermarket in New South Wales were the ones who suffered. The doctors explained that they are seeing the kind of problems that arise when intoxicants are consumed.
In the incident, authorities instructed the company that supplied the spinach to withdraw all of its supplies. Spinach has been withdrawn from New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, the Northern Territory and South Australia. Stocks were withdrawn following reports of fever, blurred vision and mental disorders among those who consumed the spinach.
But authorities have concluded that the leaves of some other plant may have been included in these packets. The health department said those who bought spinach should let them know immediately if they notice it has any other leaves, and samples of the spinach have been sent for testing. Officials said they should be very careful in the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
