HaritoraX Wireless

HaritoraX Wireless is a completely wireless, compact, cost-effective and space-saving wireless motion sensing device for users such as the Metaverse V distribution. You can not reflect the movement of the avatar from the chest down by only operating the VR headset and controller, but using this product you will be able to move the avatar with your whole body.

HaritoraX wireless supports 6-point tracking (ankle, knee, waist, chest), and although it is small, it can be ridden for a long time of 20 hours. The big difference from HaritoraX 1.1 is that there is no wired connection between the sensors. It is recommended for those performing vigorous movements such as dance as it will not snag on controllers, limbs or chair armrests during vigorous movements. Charging is possible with the USB Type-C terminal. Using the optional charging dock, you can dock and charge with the band attached. By combining with VR headsets such as Meta Quest 2 and HTC VIVE, it is possible to reflect the movement of the whole body (9 points) including legs and waist in VR space (commonly known as full tiger). Furthermore, by adding an additional sensor to the upper arm, 11-point tracking* is realized and the natural movement of the human body can be expressed.

*The maximum number of tracking points supported by each platform is different.

HaritoraX Wireless has an integrated distance sensor in the ankle, and is also characterized by the ability to reflect the movement of the ankle joint on the avatar without attaching a sensor to the instep.

In addition to Bluetooth LE, communication with a dedicated dongle is also possible. The dedicated dongle has lower latency than Bluetooth LE, and stable communication is possible even in environments where radio waves are congested, such as offices and exhibitions. A dedicated dongle for HaritoraX/HaritoraX 1.1 (different from the dedicated HaritoraX wireless dongle) is also planned for sale.

The HaritoraX series employs a tracking method that uses acceleration, angular velocity and geomagnetic sensors (9-axis IMU) and does not require external optical sensors, so even when used in confined spaces, it does not enter shadows like furniture. tracking lost due to Tracking continues even when worn under a skirt or covered with a blanket. It is also possible to operate several units simultaneously in the same room. Since it is equipped with a geomagnetic sensor, it automatically recovers from the state of drift using the absolute azimuth angle even if it is operated for more than one hour. It is also possible to deactivate the geomagnetic sensor in places where the geomagnetic conditions are not good.
