Police have already reported several times that scammers contact victims using a wide variety of messenger services in an attempt to get money. A case from Wiesbaden-Breckenheim has now become known in which a 61-year-old woman transferred almost 2,000 euros to her alleged daughter. In the present case, the perpetrators approached the woman through the “Signal” service.
Be wary of communications via messaging services
So be extremely suspicious when communicating via so-called messenger services if you suddenly receive messages from numbers that you have not saved in your contacts.
Never reply to these messages. First of all, always contact your acquaintances and relatives on the number you know and don’t be told fairy tales! “My mobile is broken……..I have a new number……I’m calling from a friend’s mobile……..My provider has problems.. … …I lost my phone” This is nonsense.
Order your relatives to come to your house
Do not believe such claims and order your relatives to come to your house if they want to borrow money. Never give cash to strangers! These are also delinquents and not friends of their relatives because it is said that they cannot pass.
