Dominique Caillaud was saved by the doctors of the French-Vietnamese hospital. |
Jean Marcel-Guillon, director general of the hospital, having received the news, rushed home. The latter, lying on the sofa, was in very bad condition (breathing difficulties, sweating and chest pains, vomiting).
Jean Marcel-Guillon immediately remotely consulted Dr. Ho Minh Tuan, head of the hospital’s cardiology department. After determining that the patient had a heart attack and a high risk of death, he immediately dispatched an ambulance to transport the patient to the hospital.
After the rapid cardiac enzyme test, doctors found that the heart muscle was severely necrotic due to lack of blood supply. Immediately, the patient was taken to the Cathlab ward for coronary intervention. Dominique Caillaud had a myocardial infarction due to a three vessel stenosis, which required urgent treatment within the first 72 minutes.
After consulting Jean Marcel-Guillon again, Dr. Hô Minh Tuân successfully placed a stent to recanalize two large and important coronary arteries. The patient has thus passed the critical moment and his blood pressure has stabilized. Two days later, the patient was able to walk normally again.
“If Jean Marcel-Guillon hadn’t come that evening, I wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you.” recalls Dominique Caillaud.
According to Dr. Hô Minh Tuân, if Dominique Caillaud had not been treated in time, he would suffer from an arrhythmia capable of causing his death. “Thanks to the rapid intervention, our team was able to intervene in less than two hours with good results”in conclusion M. Minh Tuan.
