The Velux Group has decided to start the process of reducing employment in the Gniezno factories. Negotiations are underway with the unions to find the best possible solutions for the workers concerned.
The Velux company produces window fittings, roof windows and technical solutions as well as window fittings. In Gniezno, windows and accessories are produced in two plants. Furthermore, production still takes place in Namysłów and the company headquarters are located in Warsaw.

Since the summer months of 2022, the Velux Group has been observing a slowdown in sales in key European markets, which is a result of the current difficult and uncertain macroeconomic situation. This has resulted in the storage of finished products and the need to reduce production. As a result, the VELUX Group has decided to do so launch of the process of reducing employment in the Gniezno plants.
Negotiations have been started with the unions to find the best possible solutions for the employees affected by the redundancies. Details will be provided after the conclusion of the interviews.
