Firefighters were busy putting out the fire in Zevenbergen until well into Thursday night. A fire broke out in Huizersdijk at around half past six on Thursday. Four warehouses catch fire. The big fire released a lot of smoke. That’s why area residents received an NL alert. They had to keep doors and windows closed and turn off the ventilation.
The fire was raging, it turned into a “big fire”. Thursday evening it is not clear what caused the fire. The area around the fire has been cordoned off due to the risk of collapse.
The damage to the four sheds is extensive, firefighters reported. This kept the buildings in the area wet to prevent the fire from spreading.

There was a lot of smoke from the fire. That is why an NL notice was sent to the residents of the Zevenbergen region. They had to keep doors and windows closed and turn off the ventilation.
