OPPO will release its Find N2 Flip folding flip phone in Europe next year. The manufacturer announces this at its own Anthem Day event. The Flip is the first clamshell phone from the Chinese manufacturer.
The Find N2 Flip has a 6.8″ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate inside. Outside is a 3.26″ 17:9 screen measuring 7.3×3.9cm. The screen is also vertical to better read notifications, says the manufacturer.
The Flip runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. The phone has a 32 megapixel camera as a selfie camera on the screen and two cameras on the outside. A 50 megapixel camera, a Sony IMX890, as the main camera. There is also an ultra wide angle camera. Release details will come later. The Find N2 Flip is OPPO’s first foldable smartphone to be released outside of China.
OPPO has also announced a successor to the Find N. The Find N2 hasn’t changed in concept from the Find N: it’s a compact foldable phone with an 18:9 screen on the outside and an almost square screen on the inside. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, compared to the Find N’s Snapdragon 888. The phone also has a lighter hinge and fewer screen borders. Other changes are in the software: there is a separate menu that opens when folding the screen, and there is a kind of laptop function when folding the screen in half. The Find N2 will only be released in China. OPPO has not provided any pricing details.
