The writer Marie-Chantal Guilmin will be present all day on Saturday 17 December at the Coulier Majuscule bookshop in Castres to sign her novel “Rebecca”, the first work in the Riviera series, published by Maïa Paris. The success of Rebecca’s first signing on 7 May prompted the manager to re-invite the now nationally recognized Tarnaise.
This is the eighth book by the Tarn novelist. You write on many registers, going from thrillers to more romantic books, without forgetting the historical novel which earned you the “great gold” medal in memory of the Holocaust awarded by Nazi hunter Serge Klarsfeld.
Rebecca is the story of a young woman who goes to Grasse on the French Riviera to become a “nose”, a difficult and often chauvinistic job in the world of perfumes. She will work to get there. There she will meet love and a family with well-buried secrets that could change her life. The star of this book remains the Côte d’Azur, Grasse and Monaco where the heroine evolves. The Riviera series will spread over several years and the novels will have no link between them except for the locations of the stories, the most beautiful bays in the world.
Rebecca, why don’t you put a book under the tree!
