Blanket in hand, the Var firefighters found themselves having to have a fun bullfight this Thursday 15 December in the morning.
Alerted by the municipal police around 9:30, they discovered a small brown goat at the Draguignan bus station, which was sheltering from the rain.
However, it is impossible to trap the animal. “The police have been chasing him for three days, not even the farmers can catch him”says a firefighter.
“We tried to approach it with a sheet, but she managed to sneak in from below. The goat is too lively for us.”
Despite the numerous calls made to the Dracénois breeders, no one knows for the moment where the animal comes from.
“He rang, but we dare not take a closer look, you never know, he might have a bad reaction“the fireman advances cautiously.
The chase is therefore not over yet, taking place under the strict control of the municipal police of Draguignan.
A vet should intervene during the day with the aid of a hypodermic gun to put the goat to sleep, remotely.
“By bending it you risk hurting yourself or the animal, better to wait for the vet”.
