The Riga city council today authorized the municipal company SIA “Rīgas satiksme” to donate another 10 Mercedes-Benz buses to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
Previously, “Rīgas satiksme” planned to sell these buses at an auction.
The buses will be donated, because due to the war started by Russia, Kiev urgently needs buses for the evacuation and transportation of residents.
As reported, “Rīgas satiksme” has previously donated 11 buses to Kyiv.
The buses were full of various goods that had to be donated: hygienic, medical, food products. In addition, there were spare parts for vehicles in the buses.
