Endgame for Microsoft Authenticator on Apple Watch

It smells like fir for the watchOS version of Microsoft authenticator. This two-step authentication app lets you securely connect to your Microsoft account. The program got an Apple Watch version in 2018 that saves you from having to unlock your phone. It will soon be abandoned.

A notification notifies users of this abandonment when opening iOS/iPadOS apps. ON a page of its FAQs recently updated, Microsoft explains that a future release of Authenticator scheduled for 2023 will do away with the companion app” due to its incompatibility with safety functions ” from the program.

The company does not provide more details on this change, which should annoy more than one Microsoft account user: the solution was very practical. The company recommends removing the app from its tocan right now. Of course, the end of the Apple Watch version won’t change anything for the iPhone or iPad version.
