Exit ramp Metz-Centre closed next Monday

The University of Lorraine has carried out a diagnosis of the state of health of trees of Saulcy Island. It can be seen that the Italian poplars located on the banks of the A31 and also the car parks and buildings above present a significant risk for users and must be demolished to prevent any accidents.

From Monday 19 to Friday 23 December, the Interdepartmental Directorate of Eastern Roads (DIR Est), on behalf of the State, in coordination with the City of Metz and the University, will therefore carry out the work of removing the car parks on the island of Saulcy and the Metz-Centre interchange.

Strap closure

These works will lead, on Monday 19 December from 9:00 to 15:00, to the closure of the A31 exit junction for Metz-Centre in the direction of Thionville – Nancy (in the event of bad weather, the closure will be rescheduled for the following day).

Detours will be implemented.

This work will also result in the closure of part of the car parks on the Île du Saulcy throughout the week. There will be no parking signs.

Aware of the inconvenience associated with this project, the DIR Ext recommends the utmost caution to motorists and the moderation of their speed in detours and not to stop in the car parks concerned.
