The vice president of the Russian Society of Cardiology has announced that you need to follow a few simple rules to permanently get rid of belly fat.
Yuri Belenkov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said that belly fat (visceral fat) accumulates deep within the body, between the organs in the abdominal cavity, according to Russia Today.
And when these fats are few, they go unnoticed, but these fats are more dangerous than ordinary fats, because they increase the risk of developing many serious diseases, as published by Russia Today.
Belenkov added that BMI does not determine the percentage of this fat in the body and does not specify its location. Therefore, a person cannot self-determine this ratio, only by CT scan or MRI. However, doctors do not try to determine this percentage, but rather use the usual methods of estimating total body fat percentage.
He explained: “Waist circumference is measured at the navel level, then the fullest part of the hips is measured. If the ratio index between them is greater than one, this means the presence of visceral fat in men. And it is greater than 0.85 in women.”

And she adds, excess visceral fat can lead to an increased risk of certain diseases such as atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.
Ways to get rid of visceral fat
Visceral fat accumulates in the same way as subcutaneous fat. Therefore, traditional methods can be used to reduce weight:
1- Adhering to an adequate diet, containing fruit and vegetables, 500 grams per day.
2- Exercise.
3- Change your lifestyle to get rid of that fat.
