Quang Nam, Vietnam (VNA)- More than 200 Vietnamese and foreign artists and actors will participate in the ASEAN Music Festival which will take place from 19 to 24 this month in the city of Hi Anin the central Vietnamese province of Quang Nam.
According to Tran Ly Ly, Acting Director of Department of Performing Arts of Vietnam, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it is a cultural event aimed at promoting cooperation in the field of culture and art between Vietnam and countries of the region.
The activity will also be a bridge for people in the region to gain more understanding, attachment and solidarity, helping to build an increasingly prosperous ASEAN community, he added.
The Festival constitutes a periodic appointment in the field of scenic art to carry out “the project for the organization of professional artistic competitions and festivals in the period 2021-2030”.
It also contributes to developing the art-making process up to 2030 of public and non-public professional arts units nationwide./.
