The head of the Lamandau regency health office, Rosmawati, explained that by removing this negative stigma, healthy and productive life expectancy for people living with HIV-Aids could be higher.

According to him, a person can be diagnosed with HIV only after taking a test. Because there are no specific signs and symptoms for people with HIV-Aids. However, sufferers are usually embarrassed to get tested for HIV-Aids.
According to him, the negative stigma around HIV-AIDS makes it difficult for health professionals (Nakes) to detect it early. Indeed, if it can be detected early, there is still a chance that someone will not enter the stage of AIDS.
