“To all who support Kashiwa Reysol,
I decided to move to Yokohama F. Marinos. I entered the school when I was in third grade and for nine years, from fourth grade through high school, I wore the Reysol emblem as an academy player for Kashiwa Reysol. At the academy I was blessed with wonderful coaches and friends who taught me important things not only as a player but also as a person. I wasn’t able to be promoted to the top after graduating from high school, but I became a professional player as the first player back from college.
I played professionally with emblem Kashiwa Reysol for three years, excluding the year I was transferred to Fukuoka on loan, but I was unable to perform as I imagined when I was in elementary school. Last year we were in a relegation battle, and this year we managed to climb up to 2nd place for a period of time. I thought that next year I would like to see more power from Kashiwa Reysol, but I decided to play with Marinos, who appreciated me and needed me more as a player.
After the disappointing match, I received a lot of flak, but I think it was the complete opposite of what I expected as an academy graduate. However, even though we made a lot of mistakes and got involved in goals conceded, you continued to support us, so I’m really grateful.
It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to score a goal with Reysol and then jump into the Kashiwa hot zone and get crushed.
From now on I will be a player of a rival team competing for the title, but the fact that I am a player coached by Kashiwa Reysol will not change. When we play a game at Hitachidai, I would be happy if you welcome us with a warm atmosphere.
