In the fall, it became known that Sophie Elise Isachsen (27) and Fetisha Williams (28) launched their own NRK podcast, ‘Sophie og Fetisha’.
The very first episode of the podcast received a lot of attention from a number of media outlets. Isachsen said, among other things, that she had been on the air detoxification for five months after being addicted to sedative medicine.

A recent episode of the podcast also elicited reactions from listeners. Here, the duo describe condom use as “fat fanatic.”
– How disgusting
Williams tells Isachsen that she doesn’t always use contraception, but does try to use condoms sometimes.
– We try to use condoms, says Williams.
– No, eh, says Sophie Elise.
– He’s quite a “fat nerd”, Williams replies later.
A short video clip of the podcast feature was posted on Instagram, and it’s clear in the comments section that several people are concerned about the type of message the girls are sending.
“I’m for free abortion, but we mess with contraception to see if you can get pregnant, then have an abortion because you’re not ‘created’ to carry the baby yourself. It sucks,” writes, among other things, a user.
Another writes the following:
“That Sophie Elise says yes to condoms. That’s what provokes me the most. Of all she’s said. In between. What kind of role model is this for young people?
– We just do it
Confronted by Nettavisen, Isachsen hits the critics hard and believes for his part that it was all intended as a fun film between two friends.
– We just fucked, and it’s almost not allowed to do it anymore. Our podcast should be like a conversation between two friends. You say rude things to your friends, he says to Nettavisen and adds:
– Nobody reacts to a song with the lyrics “I don’t use a condom, I don’t use a condom”. But when we say we don’t use it with our girlfriends, that’s completely wrong.
Many of the podcast episodes, however, have garnered a lot of criticism, but Isachsen himself sees the launch as a success:
– I’m really happy. There has been a lot of scrutiny over it because NRK is the state channel. We understand that they must have value, and that is something we respect.
She goes on to say that from the beginning they had a great desire to launch the podcast together with NRK, and she makes no secret of being satisfied with the collaboration.
Accused of “condom-shaming”
television 2 published on Monday a case in which a doctor reacted strongly to what was said in the podcast.
– Doing “contraception shame”, when there is an increasing number of abortions and a sharp increase in venereal diseases, is completely wrong. While this could be meant as humour, they should be more aware of how many people it affects, the doctor told TV 2.
Nor does Williams accept the criticisms that have come:
The two were then charged with “condom-shaming,” a word Williams believes doesn’t exist.
– I don’t think anyone who heard the episode went home and threw away the condoms, the 28-year-old told Nettavisen.
I wish everyone to use condoms, but it’s not something I do with my regular partner.

However, she points out that she uses a different type of contraception than condoms.
