Television producer Han Peekel has died at the age of 75. Daughter of him confirms it after reporting The Telegraph. He was best known as a TV show host such as Keep on in Television monument. Peekel died in Bali of the consequences of heart failure.

Peekel started out in the 1960s as a singer of Dutch songs. He was also a presenter on Radio Veronica. He became known to the general public for his work on television. AVRO program Keep onabout comics and cartoons, first appeared on TV in 1983. Peekel would host the program for seventeen years.

Besides being a presenter, Peekel has also produced many programs. In 2012, he was made a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau for his services to television, radio, comedy and cabaret. He received the award from the then mayor of Hilversum Pieter Broertjes.
