During an intervention with the media, Azza Mostafa added to the “Tahrir Hall” program, broadcast on the Sada Al-Balad channel, that this step helps Egyptians to buy cars by saving large sums of money, as well as among the most documents of importance that have been canceled from the certification of documents relating to the invoice.

And Adel Hanafi explained that the Council of Ministers, when implementing a specific law, especially when it concerns citizens abroad, must hold discussion sessions with students to learn about the obstacles and work to resolve them, then the law was presented.

He continued: There are many requests that officials need to solve and help Egyptians to benefit from the car import law, explaining that the specified period for making a deposit in the bank is very tight and needs an additional period, because the citizen resident abroad transfers money to his family on an ongoing basis in Egypt.

And Adel Hanafi added that importing cars from European countries does not cost citizens the costs they pay when buying a car in an Arab country.

Adel Hanafi confirmed that the most important requests addressed to her to the Minister of Immigration during her visit to the Kingdom concerned the importation of cars from abroad, the most important of which is the cancellation of the specified storage period as well as banning the sale of any car purchased abroad for a period of five years.

Adel Hanafy explained that since the announcement of the car import law, $150 million has been transferred from within Egypt to overseas as citizens and showroom owners want to buy cars from abroad.
