“Josef Hasil was one of the fundamental kings of Šumava. He was a man of many faces, I tried to portray him realistically. I take historical films as an opportunity to learn something myself,” says director David Ondříček about the new miniseries King of Šumava. “I’m in the golden age of cinema before I start shooting total madness, so I want to shoot as much as possible,” he adds.
