The New York City Council discussed Mayor Eric Adams’s strategy to combat violence on public transportation, as this plan has raised many questions. Representatives from law enforcement and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) also attended the hearing. Also, another topic that was discussed was that of mental health.
