The Chinese government says it is “shocked” by the deadly attack on a hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan which is popular with Chinese businessmen. He said five Chinese nationals were injured in the attack.
“This terrorist attack is heinous and China very surprised. We resolutely oppose all forms of terrorism… We express our sorrow for the deaths of the Afghan military police and express condolences for the injured,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said, as reported by the news agency. At least three people were killed when gunmen attacked the hotel Kabul, the Afghan capital, with witnesses reporting several explosions and gunshots. Group ISIS he claimed responsibility for the bombing.
“As far as we know, five Chinese nationals were injured in the terrorist attack and several Afghan soldiers and policemen were also killed,” Wang said.
