MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins added Christian Vázquez on Monday after signing the veteran catcher to a three-year, $30 million contract.
Two people familiar with the deal confirmed the deal to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he has yet to pass a medical test.
Vázquez played with Boston and Houston last season, hitting .274 with nine home runs and 52 RBI in 119 games. They sent him to the Astros on August 1st.
Vázquez, 32, appeared in six postseason games, batting .235 with three RBIs and helping Houston win the World Series.
