Guamúchil, Sinaloa.- Lupita López de Camacho, president of the municipal DIF system of Salvador Alvarado, reported that next December 16 will be the last day they will collect donations, in cash or in kind, to cut the program ” Adopt a family this Christmas”, which aims to ensure that the most vulnerable families have a plate of decent food on their tables this Christmas Eve.
He explained that citizens have responded favorably to this program, but there is still a long way to go to exceed the goal of food handouts delivered last year, which was 1,800 families, so he launched a final appeal to all company to join and with just 200 pesos or donations in kind join this noble cause.
“We hope to God that yes, we want to exceed last year’s goal, I invite you to join this beautiful program, the truth is that we need your help, if you have no money, come and help us in kind, “he stressed the first lady of the municipality.
López de Camacho reiterated that hundreds of invitations to donate to this program have been delivered to institutions, businesses and society in general and he is confident that he will get a good response.
He hopes to be able to start delivering the groceries from 20 December, which will be delivered to a list of beneficiaries who, through a survey carried out by staff, have confirmed that they will really need that support to have a good night with the family.
