Illegal migrants attacked gendarmerie officers with stones on Trakia highway near Trajanovi vrata tunnel, Interior Ministry-Sofia OD reports.
This happened this morning.
The migrant bus crashed on the highway going off the road. At the same time, law enforcement officers went to the bus to ascertain whether there were any injuries. Migrants started pelting police with stones and law enforcement officers fired several warning shots with arrester cartridges.
One of the perpetrators was injured, with a non-life threatening superficial wound in the side area. He has received medical treatment.
Two were detained for up to 24 hours.
Police teams are carrying out patrols in the area in order to identify other people involved in the case.
