A “package of blood” was delivered this morning in front of the Ukrainian embassy in Athens, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko announced. It is not the first time that Ukrainian embassies have received parcels containing animal blood or eyes.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman named a total of 33 cases of such threats against Ukrainian diplomatic missions in 17 countries on Monday morning. These include an attempted terrorist attack, two bomb threats, a vandalism case, a written threat case, and 28 “blood packs” in the mail.
According to him, the sender’s mailing address belongs to a Tesla dealership in Sindelfingen, Germany, and is the same as the rest of the envelopes that have arrived earlier at Ukrainian embassies and consulates. The Greek police have launched an investigation.
The intimidation campaign against the Ukrainian diplomatic representations in the EU states began at the end of November with a letter bomb at the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid. In addition, the Ukrainian missions received a number of parcels with animal blood and eyes.
