The security services in the Egyptian governorate of Giza have revealed the circumstances of the dissemination of a video clip on the “Instagram” application, including the discovery of a newborn baby at the entrance to a building in Mokattam and the arrest of the perpetrators of the incident.
The ministry said in a statement that, as part of efforts by Interior Ministry agencies to disclose the circumstances of a report to the security services of the Cairo Security Directorate, by a person who found a “newborn” child , with no apparent injuries, “at the entrance to a building, and on the “Instagram” app” a video clip was released which included the finding of the child.
By examining, conducting investigations, gathering information and using modern technical techniques, it was possible to identify the “woman who abandons the child.”
After legalizing the procedures, she was targeted and kidnapped and, confronting her, she confessed that she had committed the accident and that the child she had abandoned was (her sister’s son) and she abandoned the child in the area where he is was found at the request of her sister (the child’s mother), and the child’s mother was arrested.
When confronted with her sister’s statements, she backed them up, legal steps were taken, and the prosecutor’s office took over the investigation.
