SANTANDER, 12 Dec. (PRESS EUROPE) –
Cantabria reduced the number of people hospitalized for Covid-19 to 36 this Sunday, on a day in which the main indicators of the pandemic have not registered significant changes in the community.
Therefore, according to the latest data from the Cantabrian Health Service (SCS), corresponding to the closure of December 11, 21 new cases of Covid have been found among people over 60, the only group for which the community transmission data – -, which are one less than on Saturday, even if fewer tests are carried out at the weekend.
In the last seven days the positives amount to 236 and 488 if we take into account the previous week.
The incidence after 14 days in this segment of the population fell to 279 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, one less than on Saturday, and rose to 135 after seven days, two more. Both indicators are low risk.
For its part, 36 hospitalized for coronavirus were registered on Sunday, three fewer than the previous day, with which the occupation of the beds fell by two tenths, to 2.3%, but remains at low risk. The intensive care unit continues to care for two patients and has an occupancy rate of 1.7%, at controlled risk, like the autonomous community as a whole.
Of those hospitalized, 22 are in the Marqués de Valdecilla hospital, including those in intensive care, eight in Laredo, four in Sierrallana and two in the Tres Mares de Reinosa hospital.
Healthcare has not reported any new deaths from Covid in Cantabria, with which they remain at 1,004 since the start of the pandemic.
