The wife of the former Kadiv Propam Polri Freddy Sambo, Princess Candrawathi, said Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat raped her in Magelang, Central Java. while she cries, Princess Candrawathi he confessed that even Joshua knocked him down three times.
This was communicated by Putri during subsequent trial testimony in the murder case of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat with defendants Bharada Richard Eliezer, Bripka Ricky Rizal and Strong Maruf at South Jakarta District Court on Monday (12/12/2022).
Initially the judge asked whether Putri was aware of the funeral procedures for members of the Police Headquarters. The princess said she didn’t know.
“Do you know the funeral process of a member of the police?” the judge asked.
“I don’t know,” replied the princess.
The judge then explained the conditions for members of the police to receive police funeral honours. The judge said members of the police who were buried in a police manner did not have a bad record in their careers.
“Don’t you know the conditions for obtaining funeral honours?” the judge asked.
“I don’t know exactly,” replied the princess.
“I convey that getting such an award means that the person concerned cannot get the slightest flaw or blemish on his career record,” the judge said.
The judge said that, in this case, Joshua was buried according to law enforcement. The judge asked about the irregularity.
First, the judge said, if Joshua abused Putri, it would not have been possible for Joshua to be buried by the police. The second oddity, the judge said, if the harassment had occurred, it would have been impossible for the national Police Headquarters not to proceed with the case. The judge also said that the Putri police report on the harassment of the South Jakarta police was also blocked.
“The thing is, the late Joshua was later buried with police honor. If it was like what you said earlier, he sexually assaulted you, obviously he wouldn’t get it, that’s the first thing,” said the judge.
“Second, what he said, at the time of the harassment pretext, until today the National Police has definitively annulled the SPDP regarding this matter,” the judge said again.
The daughter insisted that Joshua had committed the rape. Putri wondered why the State Police awarded Joshua for raping a policeman’s wife.
“I’m sorry, Your Majesty, I apologize, what happened is that Joshua sexually assaulted, threatened and also tortured, and he knocked me down three times, that’s what really happened,” said Putri, crying.
“Even if the National Police held such a funeral, I also don’t know. Maybe you will ask the Polri institute why they can reward people who have committed rape and abuse and threatened me as a Bhayangkari,” he added.
