Darmstadt/Rüsselsheim Fans gathered spontaneously in Darmstadt and Rüsselsheim early Saturday evening to celebrate Morocco’s entry into the semi-finals of the World Cup. In Darmstadt, 500 people gathered in the area of Grafen-/Elisabethen- and Rheinstrasse or formed marches. The road closures were temporarily required for safety reasons until the group continued to celebrate on Luisenplatz, police said.
