Second media employee dies at World Cup in Qatar :: Football :: RBC Sport

In three days it became known about the death of two media workers working at the World Cup – American football scout Grant Wahl and Qatar channel Al Kass photojournalist Khalid Al-Misslam

During the World Cup, Khalid Al-Mislam, a photojournalist from the Qatari Al Kass TV channel who worked on the tournament, died, according to the channel’s Twitter page.

The TV channel did not specify the cause of the photographer’s death.

This is the second death of a media operator at the tournament: on December 9, American football commentator Grant Wahl died during the quarterfinal match between the national teams of Argentina and the Netherlands.

CNN reported that Val, 48, fell ill at Lusail Stadium during extra time, doctors were unable to save him.

Just before Val’s death saidwho visited a clinic in Qatar due to ill health and chest discomfort, was diagnosed with bronchitis.
