City of Juarez.- For the second time, elements of the Road Safety Coordination have set a record for the arrest of drunk drivers, over the weekend, now reaching the figure of 132, six more than last week, reported the chief of the company, Cesar Alberto Tapia Martinez.
The increase in the detection of drivers considered to be at high risk is due to the fact that there are more troops manning the roads, mainly on the night shift, the company boss explained.
He reported that 33 drivers were arrested on Friday who were in the first or second degree of drunkenness, on Saturday there were 49 and in the early hours of this Sunday another 50 people were taken to the Total Civic Recovery Center (CERECITO).
Within that figure is a tiny percentage of women who were also driving in an uncomfortable state, Tapia Martínez said.
The number could increase during this day.
